Barbara Astorga Ballesteros, born in Madrid on August 4, 1996.
She began her studies of classical ballet at age 5 at the school of Carlos Valcárcel, also training in Spanish dance and contemporary dance. Examined up to 5th grade by the Royal Academy of Dance.
She has participated in the summer production of the Russian Imperial Ballet with ballets like "Sleeping Beauty" and "Nutcracker."
At the age of 10, she obtains the 2nd prize in the Anaprode contest in the Spanish dance modality.
She has taken part in the courses taught by Dance Tour International, with leading Royal Ballet dancers such as Laura Morera, Ricardo Cervera and Justin Meissner.
At the age of 11, she enrolls at the Carmina Ocaña and Pablo Savoye Ballet School, and it is here that she acquires and consolidates the knowledge necessary for the interpretive and teaching development of dance.
During this period, she takes additional courses with different teachers of classical ballet and contemporary dance, and at age14 wins a scholarship for a summer course at the English National Ballet School.
Maintaining her training at the Carmina Ocaña and Pablo Savoye Ballet School, she participates in different performances with the JOVEN BALLET IMPULSA, including repertoire pieces such as "Sleeping Beauty", "Esmeralda", "Don Quijote", "Waltz of error", "Waltz of the Flowers ", " Napoli "," Tableau Bournounville ", and different neoclassical and contemporary pieces and combines the beginning of her training as a teacher.
In 2015, she performed in London the premiere of the duo "Evidencia" by choreographer Avatara Ayuso, which later premiered in Madrid at the Conde Duque Theater.
Since 2016, she teaches Ballet at the Carmina Ocaña and Pablo Savoye School.
