Marina Miguélez

Born in Malaga, she is currently developing her artistic activity independently as a dancer (Interdans, Belgium), as a choreographer (Cultural Festival Bad Homburg - Frankfurt, International Solo Tanz Theater Festival - Stuttgart), as well as teaching classical and contemporary dance courses in conservatories and important dance schools in Spain and Europe.
In November 2014 she received the Bavarian Cultural Prize, awarded by the German Ministry, in recognition of her professional career.
She has had extensive training in classical dance and contemporary dance in Spain and an important professional career developed especially in Germany as a solo dancer;
From 2008 to 2015 she was a member of the Nuremberg State Ballet, where she worked under the artistic direction of Goyo Montero and danced most major roles such as "Clara" in The Nutcracker, "Juliet" in Romeo and Juliet, or "Margarita" in Faust, among others.
She also had the opportunity to dance pieces by other choreographers such as Jiři Killian, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Mats Ek, Nacho Duato or Crystal Pite, often working directly with them.
She continued as a Soloist at the Bayerisher Künsförderpreis in 2014 and joins the Saarland State Ballet in September 2015, where she also performed leading roles under the direction of Stijn Celis.
Marina Miguélez decides to return to her home country to share with her family the work that has been so endorsed and awarded abroad, and in October 2017, she debuted with her own company "Dance Craft" at the Echegaray Theater, within the program of New Dance Values in Malaga.
Since then she has been a finalist at the Stuttgart Choreography Contest, has participated in various dance festivals in Brazil and Spain, has been programmed at the Cánovas Theater in Malaga and has received the Best Choreography Award in the La Caja del Arte Contest, from Madrid.
Currently, the company's repertoire is part of the Enrédate catalog of the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions.
