Yannick Boquin received his dance education at the Paris Opera Ballet School and at the Paris National Conservatory.
He dances as a principal dancer with the Bonn Opera Ballet, the Royal Ballet of Flanders, the Rome Opera Ballet and the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
Throughout his career, he received the following awards: First Prize of the Paris Conservatory (1981), Gold Medal in the Houlgate Contest (1985), Gold Medal in the International Competition of Paris (1987) and Positano and Leonide Massine . Award (1995).
In 2011, he choreographed a two-act ballet for the Istanbul State Ballet, "The Suffering of the Young Werther" (Göethe), which was then performed by the National Ballet of Greece in 2014.
He worked as a ballet teacher with the Vienna Opera Ballet from 2004 to 2006.
